CT: the protocol defines interpretation
Computed tomography combines high anatomic resolution with protocols that change the report: contrast or no contrast, arterial or portal phase, lung or soft-tissue window.
Comparison with prior studies is part of the method. In emergencies, time-dependent findings require immediate communication and an auditable record.
